Distinguished Speaker Seminar (DSS) Program
On
Capital Market Development in Bangladesh
Accounting for Capital Market Development in Bangladesh (ACMD) is a research project administered under the Academic Innovation Fund (AIF) of the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh and the World Bank. ACMD has begun a Distinguished Speaker Seminar (DSS) Program in the University of Dhaka. The program is intended to invite policy makers and researchers who have made distinct contributions to capital market research and/or towards the overall development of Bangladesh financial markets. The program is planned to attract graduate research students, capital market journalists, corporate executives, and faculty members who are pursuing capital market research or planning a profession in the financial sector. The DSS series will also make research communications to public and a deepening collaboration with print and electronic media will enable us to this end.

It is expected that the program will feature a wide range of policy discussions in areas of accounting, auditing, macroeconomics, monetary economics, and applied finance. Distinguished individuals who worked as regulators in the past will also feature prominently in the DSS program to make discussions about financial sector regulations and macroeconomic management in Bangladesh. The program is intended to stimulate public policy dialogue for a sustained development of Bangladesh stock markets.

You are kindly invited to the DSS events. For registration, please contact Mr. Emran Ahmed at 01712-822177 or emran.ra@gmail.com Registration Form Download
